A little about me
Caitlyn Burson is in her first year as an assistant director at Keller Middle School. Mrs. Burson attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. During her time at SHSU, Mrs. Burson participated in various performing ensembles including: the Sam Houston Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, and the Bearkat Marching Band. She also studied Oboe under Dr. Kristen Sarvela.
As a part of these ensembles, Mrs. Burson had the opportunity to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in 2020 as well as the College Band Director National Association Ensemble in 2020.
Mrs. Burson has had the opportunity to teach private lessons, as well as working on staff for Bocal Majority Double Reed Summer Camps!
Outside of the music world, Mrs. Burson and her husband, Will, are huge Star Wars Fans! They have two cats named Kylo Ren and Obi Wan.
